Place Charles de Gaulle is the limit of the 8th, 16th and 17th arrondissement of the city of Paris. It is attached to the districts of Chaillot and the Champs Elysees. It was the Champs Elysées, which should be renamed, but ultimately it is the place that has been renamed. New rules were established by the Councillors Paris stating that the streets will no longer bear the name of a deceased person in less than five years.
