The rue de Saintonge is a highway of the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. It was created in 1626. The rue du Perche is holding this public road and the Boulevard du Temple is the leading. The family of the famous mathematician Blaise Pascal occupied a house at No. 13 in the mid 17th century. The father of the French scientist died in September 1651. From 1789 to 1791, the conventional lawyer Maximilien Robespierre occupied a house, now defunct, at No. 64. Before his transfer to Malakoff in 1934, the foundry "Rudier" sat at No. 45.
