History of Ailly-sur-Noye in Picardy
Ailly-sur-Noye is a French commune located in the department of the Somme and Picardy. This town consists of three former municipalities namely Ailly-sur-Noye, Berny-sur-Noye and Merville-au-Bois. The year 1965 marks the administrative absorption of the town of Berny-sur-Noye and the Merville-au-Bois. The year 1466 punctuates the death of Jean de Luxembourg chamberlain of the Duke of Burgundy, bastard of St. Paul, husband of Jacqueline Trémoille.
