The area of the  Quinze-vingts  is district located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris city. It is the 48th administrative district of the French capital. There were nearly 25,000 inhabitants in 2005. It is served by the subway lines 1, 5 and 8. The Gare de Lyon is also in this neighborhood.

The name of the district of Quinze-vingts was given because of the presence of the hospital of the same name in its enclosure. The hospital Fifteen Vingts was created in 1260 during the reign of Louis IX. It is the predecessor of ophthalmology in Paris over a Vision Institute was established in 2008. There is also the Saint-Antoine hospital is a teaching hospital. It has 780 beds and is registered as an historic monument since June 4, 1962.

The area of the Quinze-vingts is a quiet and charming neighborhood. It has various magical places like the Place de la Bastille. It is a place that symbolizes Paris French Revolution. It extends over a length of 215 meters to 150 meters wide and was created June 27, 1792. It houses several monuments like the July Column, Opera Bastille and the Port de l’Arsenal. Various activities occur on this site such as fairs, concerts, hiking. Along the Daumesnil is the Viaduc des Arts. The place includes several art workshops.
