History of the town of Pithiviers
Pithiviers Is a city in France is located in the department of Loiret and the Centre region. The place name comes from the Gallic “four”. In 1589, the city was conquered by two kings of France, Henri III and Henri de Navarre. At the beginning of World War II, the Pithiviers camp was built to house German prisoners of war.
