History of the town of Achéres
Located in the department of Cher and the Centre region Achéres is a city in France. It has been inhabited for the first time to the Paleolithic era. This statement has been proved by the discovery of flint in the late twentieth century. In 1888 and 1889, research has been undertaken in a Merovingian catacomb. Graves have been found buried in coffins or plaster. Tombs from Christian models dating from the sixth century were also found. In a new surveys, other graves were excavated. Achéres name was mentioned in the old stories in the tenth century which implies its creation. It contains a local custom exploitation of honey that was justified by a charter of Philip I dating from 1061.
