Under the reign of Hugues Capet, it was expanded into a Benedictine Abbey of the Order of Saint Benedict. In 1138, the abbey was converted into a royal parish. From the fourteenth to the seventeenth century, the church underwent numerous repairs and embellishments, only to fall into ruins. Its reconstruction was halted by the Revolution, which led to its sale. Rebuilt while preserving parts of the building, it was transformed into the Théâtre de la Ville, also known as Variétés. Closed in 1807, it was renamed the Evenings Show, hosting theater, dance, and social gatherings. Today, it is known as the Salle du Prado ballroom.
