History and visit the Jardin du Ranelagh in Paris
Le Jardin du Ranelagh is a Parisian garden , located at the opening of the avenue Prud’hon in Trocadéro – Passy , in the 16th arrondissement . It is bordered on the west side by the Musée Marmottan Monet. Triangular, the garden covers an area of 60,500 square meters. It was created in 1860 by the engineer Jean -Charles Alphand this English garden . The garden is very popular with local families . It offers a large play area for children. These can enjoy rides on donkeys and ponies, swings, the merry-go timber, puppet show , sandboxes or the playground ball. This is a good place to walk and picnic. The garden is a remnant of the former garden of Chateau de la Muette . In the eighteenth century , Morisan a guard barrier Passy erected on the lawns of the castle a public dance hall . Three hazel Byzantium are remarkable for their size , 19, 21 and 28 meters. The oldest chestnut therein the 1800s .
