Street housed the old Madrid School St. Ignatius founded the Jesuits. The college has been taken by the State in 1905. It was transformed into the National Conservatory of Music and Dance from 1909. Madrid Street attracted celebrities including Maurice Charles Chenu, a famous lawyer and Raphaële Sisos an actress.
